Alaina & Hans

Alaina and Hans married at one of the most amazing venues I have ever been to.  Poronui Lodge is next level!

Situated 45 mins out of Taupo, off the Napier-Taupo Highway, it really feels like you are in another world.  It is so peaceful and the landscape is incredible.  I had heard so much about this place and when Alaina and Hans told me this was their wedding venue, I was very excited.

The day started off following the lads around while they enjoyed a little skeet shooting, axe throwing and a game of snooker at the Stables.  Pretty sweet start to the day if you ask me!

I then headed off to see the girls getting ready and what a venue they had to get ready in.  Blake House is situated on top of a cliff overlooking the rugged landscapes, where if you look hard enough, you may spot a few deer roaming around.  This was also the location for their reception dinner, so their guests could also enjoy those one of a kind views.

The ceremony was held in the gum tree forest, a perfect spot for an intimate gathering.

Alaina and Hans were also surprised by a friend who couldn't make it to the wedding, with a helicopter ride to the top of the ranges.  Alaina was a little nervous at first for the chopper ride, but those butterflies quickly went away after she saw the incredible views, plus Hans was there to hold her hand and make her feel safe.  We did get some pretty epic shots up there!

Take a look at their beautiful day...
