Katie & Matt, wow! This was one wedding I will remember forever.

I first met Matt at a previous wedding I had photographed where he was a groomsman. A few weeks later, I received an email from him and his fiance Katie who were getting married in the awesome little beachside town of Whangamata and wanted me to be their photographer! I was so excited and couldn't wait to sit down with them and hear all about their plans. We decided to meet up a few months later to have a look around at the location they had chosen for their ceremomy, and just seeing them together gave me all the feels! It is so obvious that these two are completely head over heels for each other! I was literally counting down the sleeps to their wedding, I was so excited.

Arriving to the groomsmen, they couldn't have been any more chilled. The girls were all abuzz with excitement. I have to admit, when I saw Katie's gown for the first time hanging up in the room, I squealed and jumped and did a little dance. It was absolutely beautiful and looked even better with Katie wearing it!

Then the ceremony, held at the Whangamata Estuary, was so heartfelt, and even more special as their good friend Becs Gillgren, was their celebrant. We then headed off for their photos with their super cool bridal party for lots of laughs, then off to their reception at the Whangamata Golf Club to celebrate for the rest of the evening. Just one perfect day with an awesome bunch of people, celebrating love.
