Sophie & Ben

These two sure know how to celebrate in style!

I knew after meeting Sophie and Ben for the first time, that their wedding was going to be full of fun, laughter and love. We just clicked straight way and were all totally on the same page as to how they wanted their special day captured.

Sophie and Ben flew all the way from London to have their wedding day on the shores of Lake Tarawera, a place very special to both of them. Their families both had baches just across the lake from one another and the two used to holiday there growing up, but hadn't met until years later through mutual friends on their way to an All Blacks game. How crazy is that?! Totally meant to be!

They really wanted their wedding to be relaxed, natural and to make the most of the beautiful surroundings and it was exactly that. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, the lake was so still.

Their ceremony was extra special, as their good friend Alice Pritchard went through the process of becoming an official marriage celebrant to marry them! Alice is now working as a celebrant for other lucky couples around the country.

Their guests enjoyed the views from the open sided teepee and even scored a visit from Mr Whippy for dessert after the sun went down. The outdoor dance floor meant everyone could party the night away under the stars.
